Capture, recording, and transcription can run entirely on your own machine with your own API key. The free tier needs no account and uploads nothing.
What the website collects
This site (meetconnect.ai) is a static marketing and documentation site. It does not require an account and does not currently run analytics or advertising trackers. Standard server request logs may exist at our hosting provider (Vercel) for reliability and abuse prevention.
What the extension does with your data
The MeetConnect Chrome extension captures Google Meet's live captions and, when you choose to record, the meeting audio. In the free / browser-only mode, recordings and transcripts are stored locally in your browser (IndexedDB) and are never uploaded. When you run the optional local bridge, transcripts and audio are written to your own disk.
AI transcription & your API key
AI transcription and summaries are optional. When you use them, the recorded audio or transcript is sent to Google's Gemini API using your own API key, and is subject to Google's terms. If you don't use these features, no audio or transcript leaves your machine.
Recording & consent
Recording is user-initiated — you start it. MeetConnect does not join meetings as a bot. You are responsible for complying with the recording-consent laws that apply to you and the other participants; where required, get consent before recording.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data, we don't train models on your meetings, and nothing is uploaded to us by default. A future optional cloud tier, if you choose it, would be covered by its own terms shown at sign-up.
